Principal News

From The Principal's Desk

This is a special edition Newsletter to keep you posted on important events coming up. This is a very busy time for us at the College and I am sure as well in your homes so being informed of the many events in the next week is important. We will produce our last newsletter for the year next week.

College Major Works

One of the very important things to note is that some major works have begun at the College. New portables arrive soon and the rear double basketball courts will also be repaired. Both these projects will involve temporary fencing being erected on parts of the oval and the courts. Student and parent access will be available as normal near the bike sheds but please be aware that care will need to be taken around this area.

College Principal

Library Book Returns

We have been busy returning all the library books to the library last week and this. There are still many out. Please in the next two weeks look everywhere at home to search for any books which may belong to the school. Check under and between the pieces of furniture, check bags or cars, on book shelves at home and anywhere they might possibly hide. Thanks for your help in maintaining the library collection for all students to share.

In 2019 we are making significant changes to the way we deliver the science curriculum. The incorporation of STEAM education into our science classes will inspire our students to take on the more challenging subjects and finish school with a strong foundation of the ‘STEAM’ subjects and related skills. The current STEAM program initiatives will be delivered in the science program to all students.

We will be running a STEAM Leaders program in 2019 for students who are interested in and show an aptitude for problem solving, real-life learning and leading STEAM within the college.

The program will be designed and run similar to our current student leadership programs such as the Environmental leaders and eLeaders. Please see and read the attached information and application forms for 2019 positions by clicking the link below
