School Banking

Term 3 School Banking competition has commenced. Students only need to make 3 School banking deposits, during this school term, to be automatically entered into the competition.

Woolworths Earn & Learn

Point Cook Prep Year 9 College is participating in the Woolworths Earn and Learn sticker collection programme. We hope to get as many stickers as we can to get resources for our school and students. You get one sticker for every ten dollars spent. Could you please bring these stickers to school by themselves or on the sticker sheets available online or at your local Woolworths store.

We have assorted sizes of different uniform items. We also have a number of the senior uniform items available for years 5-9 students.

PCC Parent Group

The Parents’ Group has continued this term and sessions are held every fortnight on Friday afternoons from 2pm-3pm. One of our Mums has kindly offered to teach us how to make Chinese Dumplings on Friday 14th August.

Festival Of Visual Art

The very first local art show, Festival of Visual Art (FOVA), has been organised by Stockland and Carranballac College. The display will be located near Target at the Point Cook Town Centre. Art work from Point Cook P-9 College includes Year 2 Collages, Year 5 Pop Art, Impressionist paintings from Year 7’s and ink portraits from Year 8 & 9 students. Take some time to wander down and enjoy the art our local students are producing. The Exhibition dates are Monday 17th - Sunday 23rd August

Beauty & The Beast Performance

Prep, Grade 1, and Grade 2 students thoroughly enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast Alpha Show performed on Wednesday the 29th of July. Students sang along to POP hits with much loved characters Beast, Belle, Lumiere, Mrs Potts and even the nasty Gaston. There was singing, dancing, laughing and so much more!

Yr 1's Visit Homestyle Aged Care

Yr 1 students visited Homestyle Aged Care. They laughed and chatted, shared stories about what they were learning at school and taught their friends the rules to new games.

100 Day's Of School

Tuesday the 21st of July was a very special day for the Year 1s, as they had successfully completed their first 100 days of Year 1. We celebrated by creating crowns, glasses, making collections of 100 in a variety of ways, as well as decorating cookies with 100s & 1000s.

Year 6 Cabaret - I Gotta Feeling

Due to limited seating (strictly 300 max.) you can only order a MAXIMUM of 2 tickets per child (who is performing). Ticket price includes dinner prepared by Year 7 and Year 9 Food Tech students. The children that are performing DO NOT require a ticket. Ticket sales close on 14th August.

Year 8 Kryal Castle Excursion

As part of a History unit on Medieval Europe the year 8's went to Kryal Castle in Ballarat. We learnt about many aspects of the time, including peasantry, Knights, torture and punishment, sword fighting and jousting. The entire day was enjoyable and educational.

Year 6 Snapshot Term 3

Welcome to Term 3! It is a big term of learning in Year 6 with many exciting things planned such as Earn and Learn Market Day and our ‘I Got a Feeling’ Production in September.

Sustainability News

Layer Up Days

As part of our annual Energy Reduction efforts we are again participating in Layer Up Days during August. Children are encouraged to "layer up" for the day as our heating will be altered slightly on the day to save energy for our environment. The days are uniform only but students can wear beanies, gloves scarves and coats. Classes have fun with this, some even having fun decorating their beanies and scarves on the day and making a winter wonderland in their rooms. Sustainabilty Reminders

  • Rubish reduction day for Preps - year 4 is every Wednesday
  • Year three and four Green Gang are collecting scores for the winning classes who will win a class prize at the end of each of term.
