On Monday the 22nd of August, Prep to Year 2 students had the pleasure of watching Alpha Shows perform 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. They met characters such as Quasimodo, Esmeralda and Hugo the Ghost. Students enjoyed singing along to the hit songs, joining in with the dancing and watching a real sword fight! They learnt through Quasimodo's bravery that having the courage to stand up for yourself and forgiving others makes you a strong and good person.
Thanks to the Alpha Show crew for giving the Prep to 2 students and teachers a wonderful afternoon! Here are some student comments about the show:
It was awesome! The good guy was a great good guy! - Jack Prep D
I liked the girl because she likes to dance. - Samantha Prep D
1B loved the Hunchback of Notre. Many of the students enjoyed how funny it was and how the characters made them laugh. There was a lot of chatter when they returned from watching the play on Monday afternoon:
'I thought it was really funny when the girl and boy kissed.'
'I loved the crocodile and how he shook his bottom.'
'It was really cool when we got to high five the actors at the end.'
'The music was cool. I knew the songs.'
A great afternoon had by all. - 1B
I thought it was fantastic because it entertained people. I liked it when Quasi stood up and got braver. - Hannah 2A
