Stockland Shop for Schools Promotion
Thank you to the families who have already handed in receipts to the school or directly into the entry boxes at the Town Centre.
Please save your receipts when you shop at Stockland Point Cook (Town Centre) and place your receipts in an envelope available at the Customer Care desk or at the entry boxes. Don’t forget to tick the box on the envelope for Point Cook College!
You can also send your receipts to school as homeroom teachers have an envelope to collect them in.
The dollar value you spend will be converted into points so that we can win a share in $20,000! The school who has the most points wins the biggest share!
The promotion will run until the 31st of October.

Mango Tray Fundraiser
Our mango fundraiser is back! It was very popular last year, so we are running it again.
Orders will close at 4pm on Monday the 29th of November. To order please follow this link- https://www.trybooking.com/YUID
Families and friends will have the opportunity to purchase fresh mangoes for only $25 per tray. The mangoes will be transported overnight from Queensland so they will be very fresh!
The Mango Fundraiser only use Bowen Special Mangoes which are more formally known as Kensington Pride Mangoes. They are packed in a single layer tray, with approximately 7kg of mangoes per tray. The number of mangoes per tray depends on the size of the fruit, and may vary from 12 large mangoes up to 23 small Mangoes. Trays are only $25 each.
The mango trays are coming directly to PCC from a farm in Giru, North Qld, so your mangoes aren’t being held for long periods of time in storage or ripening in rooms.
Orders close on Monday the 29th of October at 4pm. You can share this link with family, friends, neighbours and workmates! If you don’t need a whole tray, you could ask someone to share it with you!
Orders will be available for collection from PCC after the 10th of December. The exact dates and times are to be confirmed.
Parents and Friends Association
The next PFA meeting will be held on Tuesday the 30th of October from 2-3pm.
On Tuesday the 13th of November, we will be holding our Annual General Meeting. We will share information about what we have worked on during the past year and new office bearers will be nominated and elected.

Our annual Twilight Market will be held on Friday the 9th of November from 3-7pm.
There are so many fun things planned to suit the whole family!
- We will have a range of stalls, food vendors and community groups who will attend
- We will have a variety of entertainment on our outdoor stage throughout the night
- Students will have the opportunity to perform on stage as part of our entertainment (more information about this will be available soon!)
- We will be holding our Science and Maker Fair on the night
- The Full Cycle bike workshop will also be open so that you can find out more about the program. Donations of bikes are also welcome on the day
- Our Environmental Leaders will be running tours of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden and selling some of our produce
- Our eLeaders will have information to share with families and they will also be selling our PCC stress balls
- We will have a treasure hunt for children to follow and they will go into the draw to win great prizes
- Our gym will be full of market stall holders!
- Our PCC stalls will include fairy floss, popcorn, show bags, face painting, hair spray, second hand book stall, gift shop, henna, drinks and the chocolate toss game.

Twilight Market Stall- ‘100percent’
Hello parents, guardians and students,
We are students in the Year 9 Pathway ‘Emerging Entrepreneurs.’ Our business 100percent is seeking to end plastic pollution within our community and school, but we need your help!
Do you have any old t-shirts that are laying around the house collecting dust? Well at 100percent we’ll turn your old t-shirts into environmentally friendly bags to be used anywhere.
If you have any t-shirts to donate please put them in the donations box at the office or at room 55.

The process for ordering Subway lunch orders will change from this term. Families will now place orders and pay online through the following website- www.subsforyou.com Information about how to create your account will be sent home shortly.
The first Subway lunch day for this term will be Tuesday the 20th of November. Orders will be open from Monday the 29th October and will close at 11.59pm on Wednesday the 14th of November.
The last Subway lunch day for this term will be Thursday the 13th of December. Orders will be open from Monday the 19th of November and close at 11.59pm on Friday the 7th of December.
We will remind families through the newsletter, Compass email and our Facebook page, when ordering is open and highlight the closing dates for you. Please note that students will no longer receive a paper order form as all ordering and payments must be processed through the website above.
If you require any assistance with ordering, please speak to our administration staff.
Second Hand Uniform Sale
The next second hand uniform sale will be held on Wednesday 31st October from 8:15 - 9:15 am and 2:45 - 3:15 pm. The sale will be held in the canteen, next to the gym.
Please note that we can only take cash payments. Items are $5-$10 each. We don't have all items of the uniform available in all sizes as it depends on the donations that we receive.
If you have any items of uniform, that you no longer need and would like to donate to our sale, please drop them off at the office. All of the money raised goes to welfare to help our families in need.
Community Gardening Program
Our next fortnightly gardening session in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden, will be held on Wednesday the 31st of October from 9-10am. This time we will be looking at grafting. There will be a demonstration and then time to have a go yourself!
You don’t need to know anything about gardening to come along, this is a chance for you to make new friends and build community relationships. You do however require a Working with Children’s Check, which is free for volunteers and easily applied for online.
