PCC Bulletin - Term 3, Week 4

Remote Learning
As of 8pm Thursday night we were thrown back into lockdown, resulting in a return to remote learning for our students. Whilst we hope that the restrictions are eased, as planned next week, we want to assure our PCC community that we will bring any updates to them as soon as we are aware of any changes. Communication has been sent out via compass advising families of the remote learning arrangements. Please also check out our website for other hard copy learning materials and links to sites that may also be helpful. We really look forward to seeing you all onsite on Friday 13th August.

What’s Coming Up Next Week for our PCC Community

Friday 12th November 2021

Colour Run is Coming to PCC

Prep Bags 2021
At the beginning of the school year, the Department of Education and Training provided every Prep student attending a Victorian government school with a red Prep bag.

The Prep bags contained 14 items, including children’s storybooks, flyers, stickers, and stationery items, all designed to help Prep students and their parents and carers thrive from the start of Term 1.

The Department is now inviting families of current Prep students to participate in a short survey, closing Sunday 29 August. Feedback will help inform what Prep students and their parents and carers like about the Prep bags and what can be improved in 2022. To have your say, complete the survey through SurveyMonkey.

The survey takes about five to ten minutes to complete. For more information on this year’s Prep bags, refer to the Prep Bags 2021 web page.

Prep Nursing Program

The Victorian Primary School Nursing Program is a free health assessment offered to all children during their first year of primary school. The program gives parents, carers, teachers and nurses an opportunity to work together to promote health and wellbeing.

Your child has recently brought home a School Entrant Health Questionnaire (SEHQ) for you to complete. Information provided in the SEHQ enables the nurse to identify and respond to parent / carer concerns about their child's health and wellbeing, and to provide follow up assessment and referral recommendations. All SEHQs require parent / carer consent before children can be seen by the primary school nurse.

Please ensure that the SEHQ is completed and returned to your child's teacher no later than Friday 6th August.
