PCC College Council Elections

Nominations for the Point Cook P-9 College Council are now open! 


There are currently three parent electorates to be appointed for two-year terms between March 2024 – March 2026 and one parent electorate to be appointed for a one-year term between March 2024 - March 2025.

The objectives of a College Council are set out in the college council’s constituting Order and section 2.3.4 of the Education and Training Reform Act and are to:

  • assist in the efficient governance of the school
  • ensure that its decisions affecting students of the school are made having regard, as a primary consideration, to the best interest of the students
  • enhance the educational opportunities of students at the school
  • ensure the school and the council complies with any requirements of the Education and Training Reform Act, the Education and Training Reform Regulations, a Ministerial Order or a direction, guideline or policy issued under the Education and Training Reform Act.

These college council objectives must be taken into account by college council members when exercising any of their powers, duties or functions.

To nominate for a parent electorate position on the 2024 College Council, please visit Point Cook P-9 College office and collect a nomination form. Nomination forms must be submitted strictly by 3:30pm on Monday 19th February 2024. Late forms will be not be accepted under any circumstance.
